ASUS Presents Data Center Solutions at CloudFest 2023

Featuring innovative ASUS thermal design, ASUS rack server solutions enable improved system airflow – minimising power consumption and maximising efficiency. The reduced power consumption is in line with the ASUS 2025 Sustainability Goals initiative, which targets proactive and positive change. The new design of the HDD tray on the front panel of ASUS RS Series servers provides ventilation holes that are 44% wider than the previous generation, thus allowing more airflow through the system and achieving better thermal efficiency. This contributes to the longevity of components, including the latest DDR5, PCIe® 5.0 and NVMe® technologies. The upgraded fan tunnel design, providing independent CPU and GPU airflow tunnels, enhances the capabilities of 400W CPUs and 350W GPUs – greatly improving the performance of compute-intensive enterprise workloads.

The server market and data center operators are challenged by increased power consumption, higher CPU TDP and more powerful GPUs. With ASUS Thermal Radar 2.0 and Power Balancer technologies, the latest ASUS RS720QA server series, cooled with direct-to-chip (D2C) technology, outperforms the competition with over 90% lower fan power consumption and over 29.6% lower noise levels. ASUS also provides comprehensive liquid cooling solutions – from servers to liquid cooling modules, data center floor plans, capability assessments and suggested infrastructure – in collaboration with industry-leading liquid cooling partners Submer and MGC.

The ASUS RS700-E11-RS12U server is a powerful solution for a wide range of applications.  It is powered by 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors designed for efficient data infrastructure – from the cloud to the network to the intelligent edge. Up to 12 front-loading NVMe drives and 4 PCIe 5.0 slots for increased bandwidth and system upgrades are included in the storage scalability and expansion design. A flexible network module design offers a choice of two 10Gbps or four 1Gbps onboard LAN modules and an OCP 3.0 module with a PCIe 5.0 slot on the rear for faster connectivity.

The enhanced air cooling solution features an Enhanced Volume Air Cooler (EVAC) for higher TDP processors. With ASUS ASMB11-iKVM remote control system with ASPEED AST2600, ASUS Control Center IT management software and hardware-level root of trust solution, IT infrastructure management capabilities are greatly enhanced. This server is also ready for AI and HPC workloads, supporting one dual-slot GPU, including Intel Data Center GPU Flex series and NVIDIA A100.

The Intel® Xeon® E-2300 based RS100-E11-PI2 is a 1U low profile server.  It supports 95W CPUs and up to 128GB of memory, with flexible storage expansion for up to 5 drives. The M.2 slot accepts 2280 SSDs for faster boot speeds. Dual Intel® Gigabit Ethernet interfaces support teaming, while comprehensive I/O connectivity meets diverse requirements. Complete server management is provided by the ASUS Control Center. In addition, the server is equipped with an ASUS ASMB10-iKVM onboard for out-of-band management with an ASPEED AST2600 controller.

The P12R-M, P12R-E and P12R-I server motherboards are available in microATX, ATX and Mini-ITX form factors. They are fully optimized for thermal efficiency and offer a multitude of options, including dual 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps Ethernet, compatibility with different storage drives, and USB 3.2 connectivity.

The Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II is an EATX workstation motherboard that comes with many upgraded features including overclocking capability for Ryzen 5000 processors, brand new WIFI 6E, and Q-Latch for easier installation of M.2 storage devices.
